Wolf Education & Research Center

 Starting with the very educational Sawtooth wolf pack, The Wolf Education and Research Center has progressed in facinating ground-breaking research programs featuring Wolf Vocalization Analysis, the study of the vocal characteristics of individuals in the pack and their progression.

 WERC is also designing and developing a new type of radio collar for wolves that relies upon Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.

 The Research Center continues its ongoing efforts to collect crucial data relevant to the management of public lands and the restoration of wolves to the Rocky Mountains. Mapping wolf movements, in respect to cattle ranches and wildlife are part of this program.
